Twitter/Snowballfight

Sunday, December 20, 2009

I heard on the news about people using Twitter to start a snowball fight. It was tweeted and retweeted along with the details. It gave a intersection and a time, it ended up being a big event. Sounds fun, but I can see, police showing up and putting a stop to it. I wouldn't want my Jeep being hit by snowballs, or myself if I had to cross the intersection just to get to wherever I'd be going.

Where's my sign?

Saturday, December 19, 2009

A few weeks ago I discovered my son learned "wood" in sign language. I didn't believe it until we looked it up on the Internet. YouTube showed us a video that was what he basically doing. He's 3 alomost 4 so it was perfect, but you could clearly tell that's what he was attempting.

Where did he learn this? One of the shows he watches Dora, Wonder pets, mouskiteers, or any other of his many shows. Maybe they teach it at school. I'm still unclear, but I was leaning towards school, until today.

My wife and I were talking today about it today. Forget how we got on the subject, but I told her "they must teach it at school, because I seen some posted on the wall"..........."over by the sink" her replie "are you sure they weren't diagrams on washing your hands?"

Here's my sign :)

I have been trying to share my video!

I have uploaded this twice at dad-blogs, on my stupidity it was in a format it didn't support. Sorry Joe for wasting some of your time. I then uploaded to youtube, but the audio came out weird. So now I am uploading directly to my blog.... let's see if it works???

***UPDATE***

It Didn't However Flickr does video now, so I gave them a try, and waalaa!!!!!

This is my son, only two. I love this video you can see the wheels turning in his head. Everyone who has met him has complimented on his speech. I myself am very impressed. He's almost four now, and is still amazing me with his vocabulary. Some words he has trouble with Soldier, Yellow, and the one I can't even say Literally. (I hate that word LOL)

Where Do Babies Come From?

Friday, December 11, 2009

My wife and I are having a Baby!!! We have only told family and close friends. We told our son, who's three and three quarters. I guess it was only a matter of time, for him to ask who put the baby in mommies tummy. "It Just got their" I believe what my wife said. "Did the mail man bring him"? ( I sure hope not ) "no" she replied. I can't believe he accepted these answers.

I decided to search for the correct answers in case I get hit with the question too. I came across this post that I had me laughing, like I was a teenager in a high school sex ed. class. Am I that immature? I just can't see explaining this to my three year old. Please check out the slide show, and tell me what you think.

If you have had the experience of getting the question "where do babies come from"? and have blog about it, please leave me the link, Love to read it : )

Dad-blogs.com

Monday, December 7, 2009

I recently joined Dad-blogs.com!

It's a blogging community for dads (judging from the name) although Women are welcome. I've seen a few Ciara, and WeaselMomma, are two I've checked out......... There Blogs I'm talking about. From the couple post I've read, they're both funny, and worth reading. I'll be going back. This post isn't about them though, It's about a group project and a giveaway.

For the group project, all you have to do is blog about Tiger Woods. Should be easy, seems to be a hot topic, and just when you think the dust is starting to settle, someone gets a ride out of Tigers house on a stretcher. I'm not a 100% on how the group project works, so here is a link to the group project, it has the official rules!

Your probably wondering "what's the giveaway?" Joe Schatz the author of "Daddy, Where's Your Vagina? " is giving away three autographed copies! Click here for details on the giveaway. If you rather just buy a copy, you can do that here at Amazon.

Naming a blog, Shouldn't be so tough!

Thursday, December 3, 2009

I have been trying to think of a blog name, a daddy themed one! I actually thought I had a great creative name "day by day by dad" unfortunatley, someone was just as clever, damn!

I didn't give up, while I was working I kept thinking of names About three hours later, I had my next big idea "dadday" damn, again already taken, WTF. I still thought I could come up with something original.

I started lose my patience, and decided to combine the two "day by day by dadday". I was happy at first then started thinking besides be tounge twista, it's also kind of long. I began a new blog "One Dadday", but wasn't happy with it.

I did come up with another name "Dadadah" like a super hero theme song! By no surprise it was taken, FML. Can nameing a blog be this tough, or am I being too picky?

I have picked "The Dad side" for my blog name!
Short, still a little creative, and not being used : )

Now I have to figure out how delete those other blogs I created.....
